Optical test index

As is well known to all, optical testing has many indicators, including but not limited to degree, gloss, transparency transmittance, color and so on.
Today, Shouzheng would like to introduce you to three optical tests, namely fog, gloss and transparency.
So the question is, what does fog, gloss and transparency mean respectively?
First, let's get a look at the fog and transparency.
As you can see in the picture, the light through the Light Diffusion Film, except for a small amount of the reflected light, is mostly reflected through the Light Diffusion Film at different angles on the other side.


The fog instrument collects the value of all refracted light with an angle of more than 2.5°, while the transparency is the value of all refracted light with an angle of less than 0.1°. Higher values indicate that more light is collected under the corresponding conditions.
Let's look at the gloss again below. This test of gloss is to put the light on the Light Diffusion Film at a certain Angle. Similarly, light is refracted and reflected, reflecting in different directions due to the different flatness of the surface of the Light Diffusion Film.
In the test, we will detect how much light is reflected at the same Angle of the Light Diffusion Film. The higher the value, the smoother the surface, the more light is reflected at the same Angle.

So, in practical applications, what do we have in these three tests mean?
As the name suggests, the higher the fog, the more foggy the product looks to our eyes, the higher the transparency, the more transparent the product looks in our eyes, and the higher the gloss, the more shiny the sample will be.
In agricultural shed film applications, good and stable optical performance is essential to ensure indoor temperature and help crop growth.
