PE film, also known as polyethylene film, is an environmentally friendly material with a wide range of uses. In agriculture, the use of PE film as a covering material for greenhouse planting, has been for a long time, before the use of PE film, greenhouse cover generally uses PVC film (polyvinyl chloride film), PVC film has good thermal insulation, cheap price, but because PVC film in the process of use, easy to produce harmful substances, so it is gradually being eliminated in use. As an environmentally friendly material, PE film has been vigorously promoted in the process of agricultural greenhouses. At present, the use of PE film in China accounts for more than 70% of the overall amount of shed film, especially in the south, the amount of PE film is particularly large, and the requirements for PE film are mainly reflected in high anti-ultraviolet and anti-aging requirements, and high tensile strength requirements.

PO film is a new product in recent years. The earliest PO film production technology was introduced from Japan in China, and Dongda Plastic Industry is the first batch of domestic manufacturers to use Japanese technology to produce PO film. At present, Dongda PO film accounts for about 1/10 of the national market.

The difference between PE film and PO film is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

1) In terms of transparency, the transparency of PO film is generally higher than that of PE film, and the transparency of Dongda PO film is about 90% or more. High transparency means high light transmission.

2) In terms of tensile resistance, the tensile strength of PO film is also better than that of PE film, because more metallocene is added to the PO film. Dongda PO film is made of imported Exxon metallocene from the United States.

3) In terms of heat preservation, the heat preservation of PO film is significantly higher than that of PE film, and organic insulation agent imported from Japan is added to Dongda PO film.

4) In terms of droplet anti-fogging performance, PO film can achieve lifelong anti-droplet anti-fog, while PE film generally does not prevent droplets, nor does it eliminate fog, and the PE double anti-film with the addition of drip agent in time is only a short 3-month anti-drip period, and does not have the ability to eliminate fog. The bamboo coating liquid imported from Japan used in the Todai PO film can produce a mirror water film on the inside of the shed film without affecting the light.

5) Resistance to diseases and pests, PO film is better than PE film, because the anti-drip mist of PO film makes the crops in the shed no longer produce mold due to dripping.
Regarding the difference between PE film and PO film, there are many aspects, such as PO film aging resistance is generally better than the same thickness of PE film. The price of PO film is generally higher than that of PE film. Because the production process and materials of PO film are more exquisite.
